Things You Can And Cannot Do

There are some things in life,
That people simply cannot do.
Although the reasons differ,
This rule applies to you too.

You cannot create a face,
That is without-a-doubt original.
You draw from people you've seen before,
Eyes and noses now vestigial.

You cannot create a new story,
Or tell a tale of unfound love.
The best you can do is share,
Perhaps steal if push comes to shove.

You cannot claim a person's Will,
And use it as your own.
You cannot fake the act of Love,
As the Romanticists have shown.

We can choose the length of life,
By who gets to die, and who to live.
This shameful power misabused,
Why did this power God give?
