Life Experience

Experience Haiku
Most young men worry,
But the older man does not,
He's become content.

This haiku is about the process of growing up. I say that most young men worry about their life, and what is next to come. They are constantly anticipating and planning. They have so much ahead of them, and they have to keep it all in order. Careers, spouses, children, and many other things are on the horizon for these people. The older man, however, does not worry about such things. He has become content with what his life possesses and has finally realized that his life is not about always struggling to acquire more or get better. It is about simply putting forth what he has to give in a situation, and accepting the outcome as a ratio of his best effort and his best reward. This process of slowly becoming content over time probably happens to varying degrees to all of us (by man I do not mean only males). It is in life experience that the older individual has the edge over the younger. While the younger has a potentially more potent brain, and more room for making neural connections, and a healthier body, the older person has wisdom and experience gathered throughout the years which can be applied to everyday life, and thus they do not worry what is next to come. They simply accept it as another part of their life.
