Is It Important...?

Is it important for you to belong,
And to have a group of peers?
Is it important for you to have friends,
To protect you from an idiot's jeers?

Is it important for you to love,
And to be in love as well.
Is it important for you that you were caught,
When you slipped so fast and fell?

Is it important for you to think of me,
Or am I just a member of memories.
Is it important for you to enter my life,
So you can always be there to tease?

I think that it's important for you to know,
That even after I die I won't forget.
The evening that I spent with you,
Driving home as the sun set.

Friends,companionship,acceptance,love.
All are important, even vital, for our well-being. I relate to this poem.
Dreams of what can be, and memories of what once was help make us the person we are now.
We all need these important aspects in our lives and need to be willing to open up ourselves to receive them.

another quote from carl jung: The shoe that fits one person pinches another; there is no recipe for living that suits all cases.
