Bees-Me-We Together Make Three

Sometimes I'm overwhelmed,
At the sheer number of people I see.
They're all beautiful and smart,
And I am just another bee.

My buzz is low and I fly slowly,
Taking care not to attract attention.
Inevitably they all fly quickly past,
I'm punished by my own detention.

I wonder if the biologists know,
That the unattractive bee is the worst.
Even though it's color is slightly dull,
And moves about as if it were cursed.

Because its life will be the longest,
And that's the only goal bees possess.
When the bee is old and wise,
He'll reside lonely and above the rest.
