Short Poem Before Sleep

I should be in bed right about now,
But going to sleep I cannot allow.
If I fall asleep I might not think of you,
So I stay awake, 'til half-past two.

Maybe you're awake miles and miles away,
You're awake in my mind, and there to stay.
I might pass out, since I'm tired, it seems.
Alas I still have you, waiting in my dreams.
