Self-Conscious Girls

When you look in to the mirror,
What is it that you see?
Is it imperfection and doubt,
Or some form of inner beauty?

Are you afraid people will see you,
Before you can shoot off a warning?
When a person truly loves you,
They think you're prettiest in the morning.

I think some of you ought to know,
That it doesn't matter how you look.
It doesn't matter if you're gorgeous,
Or that you don't know how to cook.

Maybe it's a surprise,
Or perhaps you've known all along.
But guys can worry too,
If we feel we aren't big and strong.

Stop wasting time worrying,
That you don't appear good enough.
They'll like you for the inside,
Once they stop acting like their tough.

Some take longer than others,
So perhaps patience is the key.
But if they don't like you in the morning,
Don't let them get down on one knee.
