Even as it's forming you can see the problems
formulate themselves inside of your head.
You know what will go wrong,
it's just a matter of when and where.
What you don't know is why it goes wrong,
just that it will, in all plausible circumstances.
You clutch on to a keepsake or ideal
that symbolizes faith or hope.
You pray it will be different from last time
so hard that you should be in a Church.
So you live day-by-day until out of nowhere
a snake slithers out from the tall grasses
and strikes you with its venom of secrets,
just like you knew it always would.

Oh. This is so me. A born pessimist, certain that the negative will happen. I really wish I could change.

Perhaps a main reason why so many things fall apart is because of our own doubt. We come to expect failure and as a result some how, it will indeed happen that way. Although thinking positively won't necessarily ensure success. It's realy a double sided sword being a shot in the dark.

It's quite unfortunate that it's human nature to be negative in our own thoughts and expectations.

i see where you're going with this, but shouldnt you drop "the keepsake or ideal" before it strikes back "just like you knew it always would"? Save yourself some pain? To each his own.
